1. Send your request, however suits you
- Text us by iMessage or RCS, or email us, the way you would message a colleague.
- Use the form on this site.
- Ask from inside Claude or ChatGPT while you are already working on the contract.
Describe what you need: a new contract drafted, one you received reviewed, changes negotiated, or a question answered. Attach the contract if you have one. Mairit turns your message into a short, structured brief so attorneys can price the work without a call.
2. Attorneys send fixed-fee quotes
Your brief is shared with several independent attorneys licensed in New York who handle that kind of contract. Who sees a brief depends only on neutral criteria, the contract type and the attorney's license, never on payment. Each attorney who wants the work replies with a fixed-fee quote that states:
- the fixed fee for the work
- what is included, such as a redline, comments, a risk summary or a call
- when it will be ready
- the attorney's license and experience
Quotes appear in the order they arrive. Mairit does not rank attorneys by price.
3. You choose your attorney
Compare the quotes and choose the one that fits. Before you confirm, you see the total. Nothing starts and nothing is charged until you choose.
4. The work, the sign-off and the record
Your attorney does the work as agreed and signs off on the final version. Mairit keeps a signed record: what you asked for, the attorney and their license, every change, and the date of sign-off.
Questions
Questions about the process
What do I need to send?
A few lines on what you need, and the contract if you have one. Tell us who the other side is, roughly what the deal is worth, your deadline and anything that worries you. A rough draft, a template or a message in your own words is fine.
Who sees my request?
The brief goes to licensed attorneys who handle that kind of contract and can send a fixed-fee quote. Attorneys owe a duty of confidentiality to prospective clients.
What does the attorney deliver?
What their quote says. For a review that is usually a redlined contract with comments and a short summary of the main risks; for drafting, a finished contract. Every request ends with the attorney's sign-off on the final version.
What if I do not like any quote?
You do not have to choose one. Nothing starts and nothing is charged until you choose a quote.
